EIT Manufacturing closes innovation divide in Europe
About RIS
EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) help countries boost their ability to innovate based on their scores on the European Innovation Scoreboard. Launched in 2014, EIT RIS builds innovation capacity across Europe by connecting innovators and reduces regional disparities.
EIT Manufacturing RIS activities are tailor-made to meet the diverse innovation needs of eligible countries. We support innovative organisations with financial assistance and networking opportunities that are designed to increase the resilience and competitiveness of manufacturing in Europe.
RIS network
EIT RIS networks engage corporates, students, researchers, entrepreneurs, SMEs, universities, RTOs, research labs, national and regional governments and NGOs.
Eligible countries / regions for RIS include:
EU Member States: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia
Horizon Europe Associated Countries: Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine
Outermost Regions: Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Réunion, Martinique, Mayotte, Saint-Martin (France), the Azores and Madeira (Portugal), and the Canary Islands (Spain)
RIS Hubs
EIT Manufacturing set up RIS Hubs in eligible countries and regions with “moderate” or “emerging” scores to help implement these activities locally. The Hubs encourage closer collaboration between local innovators and connect them to EIT Manufacturing. They also help bring new partners and participants from the local ecosystem into our projects.
