EIT Manufacturing East serves seven countries in Central and Eastern Europe: Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. In close collaboration with our partners, our network and the local ecosystems, we bring together leading manufacturing actors from industry, academia and research across Europe to make innovation happen, building a bridge to manufacturing innovation in Central and Eastern Europe. We work through the knowledge triangle that includes Business Creation, Education and Innovation, and put a strategic focus on the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) – the EIT Community’s outreach scheme to transfer good practices and know-how.
EIT Manufacturing East is based in the Technology Center Seestadt in Vienna, Austria, surrounded by an innovative ecosystem of startups, industry, technology companies, and research centers.

EIT Manufacturing – Slovakia – X Fund is a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development, and Informatization of the Slovak Republic and EIT Manufacturing East. The fund aims to support digital transformation in Slovakia by financing projects that align with the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation of the Slovak Republic 2021-2027.
AI5production is an European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) aimed at supporting manufacturing SMEs with digital transformation, particularly in AI and Industry 4.0 adoption. The project offers access to research, testing infrastructure, and training, helping businesses improve digital maturity and connect with investors.
EuProGigant is a project focused on creating a resilient, data-driven manufacturing ecosystem in Europe. It aims to improve flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability through secure data sharing across borders. Key outcomes include increased productivity, CO2 reduction, and cost savings, promoting a collaborative, sustainable industry.
